Cache la Poudre River in Winter Scenery from a Biking Trail

cache la poudre river, fort collins

This is the Cache la Poudre River in Fort Collins, Colorado. There is almost no flow in winter, but you can find some paddleable pools of water here and there. I shot this picture with Pentax Optio W10 camera when biking along the river on January 27, 2007 just above the Timnath Reservoir Inlet Dam (below Lemay Street). There is no easy boat access to this stretch of the Poudre. Above and below the dam the river was frozen or dry.
