Double Vision: A Storm over the Boyd Lake near Loveland, Colorado

Boyd Lake

Boyd Lake 4th of July evening. I tried to paddle Thunderbolt kayak on the Boyd Lake, but I was surrounded by heavy thunderstorms with many natural fireworks. I managed to paddle about one hours in two parts staying close to my launching beach.

I spent a lot time in my car and at the parking lot waiting for a storm to pass. I used that time to shoot some pictures with my Pentax Optio W10 camera. The picture above combines two views: dark clouds over lake looking east and the "explosive" sunset over the Front Range of Rocky Mountains looking west in the car side mirror.
