Thunderbolt Kayak on the Missouri River above the Cooper's Landing



Missouri River

It was the afternoon of the second day of the 2007 Missouri River Race. GPS on the deck of my Thunderbolt-X kayak was showing 186 miles covered, so this picture was shot about 11 miles upstream of the Cooper's Landing. It was a scenic stretch of the river with high cliffs.

Me and Connie just returned back to Fort Collins from St Charles, Missouri. I am preparing more pictures from the race for posting in the fitness paddling blog. A commentary will follow, but I need more time to look at my adventure from some distance.

I had my Pentax Optio W10 camera with me during the race, but I shot fewer pictures than last year. The T-bolt kept me pretty busy with paddling and with pumping water when the kayak decided to sink ...
