It was the first sunset during the 2007 Missouri River 340 Race. After a hot day of paddling I stopped for a few minutes to prepare my headlamp for a night. Mark Przedwojewski and Brian Weber in their Kruger Cruiser were just passing. They came closer to the shore to check if I was OK.
At the same time Connie was at the third race checkpoint at Miami. She was looking upstream and shooting the very same sunset. The leading boats were just arriving. I still needed almost 2 hours to reach Miami.
I have already posted first 12 pictures from the race start at Kaw Point. I have 30 or 40 more in preparation.
