Pictures and Stories from the 2007 Missouri River 340 Race

waterproof digital paddling camera

at the finish of Missouri River 340 I have just finished posting pictures from the 2007 Missouri River 340 Race in the fitness paddling blog: 51 pictures in four sets:

I was paddling and shooting with Pentax Optio W10 camera while Connie was making her pictures from land with my old Canon PowerShot S40. I have prepared only a fraction of our pictures from the MR-340 for on-line presentation.

I am done with pictures, but I still need to prepare some comments on my paddling 340 miles in the Thunderbolt-X kayak.

The above picture of me and Connie was shot a day after the race at St Charles by Dawn Stewart. She has a great coverage of the MR-340 Race in her blog SandyBottom's Sea Kayaking and Kruger Paddling Adventures, perhaps, more than a dozen of posts including during the race reports by her husband, Paul, and her after the race articles (see July and August 2007 archives).

Other race reports come from Brian Weber in his Capt'n of the "O" Dark 30 blog.

You can find more pictures from the MR-340 on Flickr focusing on racers by Don Wilkison and pictures from the finish line by Natialie and Denny.

I am sure we will see more stories and pictures from the Missouri River showing up on the web. I will be glad to add links here.
