Paddling with Fall Colors near Fort Collins in Northern Colorado

These are three pictures from recent paddling on Beaver Pond in Arapaho Bend Natural Area near Fort Collins. It was late September, one of the last days of summer. Fall colors in Colorado are dominated by gold. I checked all three wild cranberry bushes on the shore of that pond to find a little bit of red for my pictures.

It was a rainy and windy day. The weather was not inviting at all when I was leaving home for my afternoon paddling, but I was rewarded by a sudden clearing in storm clouds. After a photo session I even did a 5 mile time trial for the virtual race. Surprisingly, I got a better time than in my previous virtual race run on the deeper Lonetree reservoir.

Does anybody have recent paddling pictures with real fall colors? A little bit more trees? I am really missing fall colors I used to enjoy in Poland.
