From the Racing Boat - Missouri River 340 Race in Pictures

I have posted a series of photo stories from the 2006 Missouri River 340 Race in my companion blog, fit2paddle - fitness paddling. This race from Kansas City to St Charles across the state of Missouri took place last August:
  1. Race start at Kaw Point (Kansas City)
  2. From Kaw Point to Franklin Island
  3. From Coppers Landing to St Charles
  4. 7 miles of sprint to the finish
The race provided me many photographic opportunities. The most exciting paddling on the Missouri was during nights. But, how to photograph the river at night?

This year Missouri River 340 Race will go under full moon from July 24 to 28. I am going to paddle it solo again but I am not sure yet which boat to take. However, the camera stays the same - Pentax Optio W10.
