Full Moon Kayak Workout on the Horsetooth Reservoir

10/25/2007. I haven't paddled on the Horsetooth Reservoir for a while. The water level was pretty low. It meant a very long walk to launch my Thunderbolt kayak in the north Eltuck Cove from the Lory State Park. Calm and quiet. Just a couple of power boats. Last fall colors. 9 miles of easy paddling and finishing after the sunset with a beautiful full moon.
