Paddling with a Camera Blog in 2007 - Visitor Traffic and Popular Posts

Thunderbolt kayak on Boedecker Reservoir The year of 2007 with almost 200 posts was rather busy in Paddling with a Camera blog.

The most popular article of the year was 12 Pictures and Reflections from Paddling with a Camera in 2006. The article was written in December of 2006 as part of Problogger group writing project Reviews and Predictions. It still represents pretty well my interests in paddling, racing, and photography. I just entered some new races in 2007 and I paddled mostly my new Thunderbolt kayak.

Other top blog posts of 2007 include:

A blog cannot exist and grow without readers. Thank you for visiting, writing comments and sending me e-mails. Even if I cannot respond to all questions directly I am trying to address them in new posts.

Here is a plot of numbers of unique visitors per month to this blog and to my Fitness Paddling blog.

visitors to my paddling blogs

A little bit of history. I started to post pictures and stories from my paddling trips in Mountain Wayfarer more than 10 years ago. In 2004 I started Wayfarer on paddling and photography blog. In the December of 2005, racing issues were moved to a new blog, Fitness Paddling. 6 months later the old blog was also moved to a new domain,, to become Paddling with a Camera.

Visitor traffic in Paddling Fitness (180 subscribers) is growing, but has a strong seasonal cycle while Paddling with a Camera blog (260 subscribers) demonstrates more steady growth.

Most of Paddling with Camera visitors are coming from USA (78.7%) with Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Sweden and Germany on the top of other countries.

I am preparing several technical posts related to paddling photography for 2008. I also hope to provide more pictures, movies and stories. Please let me know if you have any comments, suggestions or questions.
