Sanyo Xacti VPC-E1 Waterproof Camcorder Review and Sample Footage at FreeVlog

Ryanne at Freevlog did a great job reviewing the new XactiVPC-E1 waterproof camcorder in the form of a video clip.

First, she is presenting the camera and its operations. The camera has a waterproof case and some features may seem to be awkward to the users of regular camcorders, but they would look quite normal to the owners of Pentax Optio W-series or similar cameras.

The build quality is quite solid. Ryanne thinks it will be a good camera for her travels.

Then, she is demonstrating the camera capabilities in different conditions. You can see footage shot under water in a swimming pool, on a beach and inside a house in really low light. Video looks pretty impressive.

Unfortunately, Ryanne has not shot any still pictures. As a video-blogger she is only interested in shooting video. So, I still would like to know if the Sanyo Xacti VPC-E1 could serve as a dual purpose camera in my paddling. Right now, I am using my Pentax Optio W10 for photography with occasional shooting of some short video clips.
