Of course, I agree that these two cameras are great to use at a beach, pool or when paddling. However, keep in mind that each camera is a compromise. To get a full picture including some weakness of these waterproof cameras you should also check on-line reviews referenced in my earlier posts: Pentax Optio W30 and Olympus Stylus 770 SW may not be in general the best digital point-and-shoot cameras available on market, but I believe that they are the best compact waterproof cameras available for paddling and water sports. My bias is towards Pentax cameras which I am using.
