paddling with a camera

It seems that GoPro Digital Hero 3 camera can produce surprisingly good videos while still pictures are not the strongest point of this gadget. It does not mean that you cannot shoot some decent pictures - check this be a hero - goPro! picture set on Flickr.

You can find a lot of movies shot with this wrist mounted camera on YouTube.com, mostly some home production from playing in a pool and around beach, but there are some movies from kayaking and rafting.

However, the best movies come from windsurfing, like these ones:

I think that the wrist mounted Digital Hero is well suited for water sports like windsurfing or sailing. I wouldn't like to paddle with a camera strapped to my hand or paddle. As a paddler I prefer a helmet cam or a camera mounted on a kayak deck for my video shooting.
