GoPro Digital Hero 3 as a Helmet Cam for Paddlers and Racers

GoPro Digital Hero 3 is getting a lot of attention among paddlers and racers as a simple video camera. Rob Mousley from Surfski.info just posted an article on making paddling movies using GoPro Hero as a helmet cam. They simply mount the camera on a helmet using a piece of velcro. Recently, GoPro introduced several mounting options for the camera including a helmet mount.
The first time I used it I found that I tended to watch the horizon instead of the front of the ski. This meant that whenever I caught a run, the nose of the ski tended to drop out of the frame and you'd have no idea what was going on.
You can buy GoPro Digital Hero 3 from Amazon.com for $140, but it seems that the camera with new mounts is available only directly from GoPro's website at this time.
