I started blogging about 4 years ago. My first blog, Wayfarer on paddling and photography, was just an addition to my static web site, Mountain Wayfarer.
After a couple of years I had to move my blogging to another server under my own domain, fit2paddle.com, and at the same time the original blog split into three: Paddling with a Camera, Fitness Paddling, and Virtual Racing. It was a quite big migration.
Well, it’s time for another big move …
For all these years, I have been using iBlog to write posts from my Mac Power Book laptop. It was easy to start. All software and blog content was on my computer, so it was a convenient desktop blogging. There used to be a small community of fairly active users. Features and functionality of iBlog were rather limited, but with some customization I kept going.
I just upgraded to a new computer, Mac Pro. It opens a new world for post processing of my digital photography. However, my old version of iBlog (1.4.6) does not like to work on a newer Mac OS. To implement iBlog v.2 to my blogs would require a lot of work. Just at the beginning, I discovered some bugs in that version. iBlog technical support doesn’t respond. User community (iblogger.net) seems to be gone. It’s time for me to join the mainstream of the blogosphere and switch to WordPress.
I am going to keep the entire old blog online. In particular, here are links to old categories:
The blog front page is moving to WordPress and new articles will be posted here. I am also going to move some old articles, possibly with updates and revisions. There will be a lot of learning and work on the blog design and customization and twicking of the Arthemia magazine theme. Oh yes, I have more than one blog …
